Hi all,
I have a business trip (yea!) to England/Scotland in the October 27th - Nov
4th time frame. I will be in the Midlands (Manchester++), and also driving
to and from Aberdeen. I have:
- at least a free weekend Nov 1-2
- possibly some free time during the week
- a flog-a-car with unlimited mileage
Hey, driving some twisty little back country roads might help me with VIR,
aye Peter? What museums or other racing oriented venues might I visit? BTW,
I've been to the wonderful Donnington museum twice before, as well as some
museum in Coventry(??) eons ago (they had the neat little 1.5 liter H-16[??]
Coventry-Climax F1 engine, IIRC). Will probably try to get to "Demon Tweaks"
too (if that's the right name, and I can remember where it is [where IS that
old catalog???]).
And, failing racing venues, what scenic / historic wonders might I stop at
on the way up and down the isle (seen the memorial at Lockerbie [tear
jerker, that one]) and the ancient wall built by the Roman (sorry, his name
fails me, but seems like it starts with an "H").
TIA,

afford it ...)
