I have raced once on the 5.50x15 Hoosiers and they seem faster and more
predictable than my worn out 185x70 BFGs. I don't know if this was
because they were new or more likely because they are about 1/2" wider
than the BFGs (6.5" vs 6"). The 5.00x15 Hoosiers are 5.2" wide and one
of the vintage guys says he went through a set very quickly. I think
there is some question as to whether the 5.50s will be approved for
vintage by some clubs.
