I know I have the message here somewhere, but someone asked me about some
various list statistics, as they were looking at running a list for their
club. For those interested, check below. If not, delete this message now.
This includes most of the majordomo run lists in the autox.team.net domain,
it doesn't include the lists under the mailman program, which can be found at
http://www.team.net/mailman/listinfo like single-malt, the-local, shotimes,
bmw-mini, amphicar, or the lists under the utahscca domain, or the
rx7-world.net list, and some others.
Maybe you'll find this information useful, maybe not. One of these days I'll
get scripts set up to give me things like average size of message, number
of unique posters and such. Some of these lists may have over a thousand
subscribers, but I bet you see the same dozen or so names in all the 'From:'
lines. And then there's lists like Michiga Turn Marshalls (mtm) or the
Capitol City MG Club (ccmgc) that woudn;'t generate too many numbers. So
it goes.
