I am hoping the rain predicted for Friday is a bit slow coming in and
waits till Saturday. I would like to see these 3,000 monsters slipping
around on a wet track! I don't know what kind of racing they do when
they cancel a race because it was drizzling.

Now since the track has given about half of VSCCA's track time on
Saturday for the Burnham Boiler 200 and they are charging for the gate,
will some portion of the fee be refunded to the VSCCA? That is a
rhetorical question since I believe we all know the answer to that one.
Maybe I am a bit sensitive to this type of situation since just a few
weeks ago the Mont Tremblant owner changed the dates at the last minute
for the combined VARAC/VSCCA event. Apparently he decided to have a few
friends over on Sunday to take drives in his Ferraris. I don't know what
the answer is here, but vintage club racing is not getting much respect
from the track owners. Maybe they have forgotten their roots.

Phil

Let's see, VSCCA gets 10 a.m. to noon, and 12:45 (assuming no lunch
break for
corner workers) to 3:30 p.m.

Pray for rain!
