Agreed it's safer - no question.  Don't agree it's noticeably hotter
than a 2 or 3 layer suit - it does absorb a lot of sweat and dries out
quicker between sessions.

One trick it took me 20 years to learn - if your suit is sweaty - when
you take it off "peel" it off so it is inside out - easier to get off
that way and it dries out quicker.
