Larry,
I have gotten some black and white versions this way
1. locate the track using one of the mapping sites (Mapquest; Mapblast,
etc). Just make sure the one you use will give you the latitude and longitude
of the spot, preferebly in decimal degrees.
2. Go to <A

and click on
the icon for advance find then locate by position. input the decimal latitude
and longitude and if you are accurate, you will have either a satellite shot
or an arial shot (depending on what's availible for that area). Some times
you may have to move about (north, south,east or west) on the scan to
pinpoint the track.
One caveat, some of the images are as much as 3-4 years old.
