Double clutch.... or learn to NOT clutch. Aside from letting you engage
first gear and start off from a stop smoothly, what else should one use a
clutch for? Clutching allows unloading of the gearset while shifting, but so
does lifting the throttle momentarily (on an upshift) or 'blipping' the
throttle momentarily (on a downshift). Too bad if your box has synchro's;
they really slow the box down when shifting!
    Carl
    Lotus 61 formula Ford (Hewland Mk6 4 speed crashbox & lovin' it)!
    series 1 Sunbeam Alpine (with synchro on top 3 gears {damn}).
