Hi,
Did anyone catch the new one hour Lime Rock history movie?
It aired on PBS in CT last night. Very high quality, emotional account
of the track. You can buy it from www.limerockmovie.com I think.
It shows VERY early clips from the 1st races, including
the one where Rodger Ward (?) in the midget beat all the
expensive sports cars in Formula Libre. Fun watching him
slide through the esses! Also shows initial plans and building the track.
If you know someone who just doesn't understand why we race
this may help them understand.
I missed getting in the movie twice by just a second (at the fall vintage
festival race). All you could see was some bright green in the concours
on the main straight.
