Has anyone tried Yokohama AVS Intermediate tires?  Sizes include
185/60-14, 195/60-14, 205/60-14, 195/60-15 and 205/60-15.  They're
V-rated, high performance, street tires that would need to be shaved. 
Not very expensive and yes, likely not as quick as competition tires. 
Perhaps a good alternative and maybe more in the spirit of vintage
racing???  From my research, the BFG g-Force R-1's are not legal in many
vintage clubs.
