Hi Jim -

I broke a rear trailing arm on a '58 Spider in a race once. Now I can
realize the fun I missed. Fortunately my mishap occurred on a fairly slow
hairpin and all I experienced was four wheel steering (like a Honda?). Now
having a nose section blow up on a '69 Lotus Formula Ford really gets your
attention - IFR in microseconds. Same race track - Carlsbad Raceway in
North San Diego County in the early '80s.

Cheers,

Dave Mericle the Elder
