Piet Van Rossum of Topton, NC races a 1965 M-B 230SL in HSR, SVRA, and
VDCA. The car is unique and usually draws a lot of interest in the paddock.
Piet owns SilverStar Restorations and is an expert on the 2 seat M-Bs. The
race car is heavy, of course, and fairly slow but Piet has lots of fun
racing it. Like the street versions, it is very reliable. The only problem
I've seen him have while paddocking with him at many races was a broken
rear sway bar mount.
