Thanks for all the suggestions. Those on a low budget know where I am comming
from. You work real hard to make a car and the whole class is axed for a 1980's
tube frame car at a Vintage race, I am allowed to be a little angry. I know you
can't please everyone. But the 80's and 90's, please.
My first experience in Road Racing was from going to see a friend race at a LRP,
I was a dirt track fan, NO experience with road racing. He kept telling me he
raced a Trans Am Mustang. I couldn't quite understand it. I knew Pontiac made
a Trans Am. But when did Ford make a Trans Am? So I had to see what this thing
was, because I thought I knew everything about muscle cars. Well I was blown
away, this was about 7 years ago at the Formula Libre/Trans Am reunion. I saw
all the cars and thought that the FF looked pretty cool. They were small with
little motors and tires. I figured they must be about $3,500. $25,000, I
almost fell over. The next year or two I found a basket case and started in.
It was much more difficult than any MG I had ever done. Through, new jobs, no
job, lots of money and a baby, the car is just comming together this year. And
LRP where it all started has no FF's. Don't that stink. So I'll take my new
son (grooming for F1) to play elsewhere on Labor Day. I just won't be able to
enjoy myself.
