I met a guy who was a participant in a drivers school this weekend who
needs some advice. He had an engine built by a professional builder and
he had three valve springs break in one session. Said springs were
obviously wrong parts because they were shimmed up with washers and
there was severe coil bind. He has to replace them but doesn't want to
go back to this builder.
I'm not up on sources for Spitfire parts -- he has the 1500 engine --
could you Spitfire guys recommend a source of valve springs for him?
(he's not on the net).
