I talked to Dick McGovern about this. He was at the tire meeting too. His point
was that the open wheel group is already under the strictest tire regs in the
club. The Juniors are mostly on hard compound Dunlops per Steve Earle, the Vees
are on FVee spec tires, and the FFords are governed by Monoposto Register rules.
Regulating everybody ELSE because the open wheelers are naughty does not make
sense to me. You don't fix an attitude problem with parts. Fixing the loose nut
behind the wheel takes a different kind of tool. ;=)
