here is my 2cents worth on the doulbe bearing hub stuff, I tried the MM setup
but the seals kept walking out of the hubs, after a few weekends of pulling
the axels out after every session I got to the point where I drilled 3 tiny
screws thru the hub into the seal to keep it from walking out, later i bought
a set of DB hubs from Huffaker, his were set up to accept a different seal
that was wider and had 2 sealing lips, he also had drilled and tapped the hub
with little allen set screws to lock in the seal, no problems since..........
I have redrilled my brake shoes on the rear so the spring sits slightly
higher to clear the hub, you can also bend the spring a little to help...the
idea is to raise the spring enough to clear the hub but keep it low eough to
keep it from cutting into the wheel cylinder dust boots.......WC rear discs
in vintage? not in northern calif...chuck
