It is possible to drive your car hard and not hit anybody.  Be more careful when
braking and passing.  It is sort of like crossing the street - look both ways,
make sure you have eye contact with the drive of the car approaching the
intersection, don't challenge the traffic in New York or Italy, etc.

Remember that hitting anything or anyone is a no-no.

Hopefully I won't have to eat these words in the future.
