In dyno testing with a TR-4 engine with Weber carburators producing over =
180 REAL horsepower a 18 inch long Supertrapp Glass Pack muffler =
without=20
any baffles reduced the sound level from 118 db to 109 dB measured 10 =
feet from the side of the end of the exhaust pipe. There was no =
significant power loss at peak power and a slight gain at 5,000 RPM. =
There was a loss in power=20
between 3500 and 4200 rpm which is where the cam was just coming on.=20
