To the list - The list is now sounding like the VARAC AGM! This topic
came up at last year's meeting with similar results. As a technical
inspector I believe that safety is paramount. So the idea of turning the
clock back there doesn't count. The rules I do tech under ( VARAC/CASC)
are very extensive when it comes to safety equipment (including
manadatory fuel cells, and fire systems on Historic Cars plus other
items related to Driver safety).
The difficulty comes when performance items become safety items. I want
to see "real" vintage /historic cars not Carbon Fibre - replicars
(Carbon Fibre body panels could be designed to provide improved
safety...)
