We are starting the 1998 Mobil 1 Manila Sports Car Club Historic Sports Car
Racing season on 21-22 March 1998, at the Subic International Raceway, in
Subic Bay, Philippines.
There will be 15 cars on the grid including new cars such as a 1966
Corvette Stingray Roadster, a 1961 VW Karmann Ghia, and a 1967 Mustang
GT350 (in original Hertz colors). The rest of the grid will be comprised
of the following cars: Lotus Elan, Porsche 914, MGB (2 cars), MGAs (2
cars), Austin Healey Sprite, Mini Coopers (2 cars), Mustang GT350, Datsun
240Z,and a Porsche 912.

Aside from the vintage racing the Manila Sports Car Club will be hosting a
Concours d' Elegance at the Westin Philippine Plaza on March 14-15, 1998.
This is a once in two years event participated in by various automobile
enthusiasts in the country. There will be 3 international judges ( 2 from
Japan and 1 from Hong Kong) flying over to participate in the event. The
concours will be capped by the annual bow-tie dinner.
