I second the opinion someone offered earlier that you get great
value for your money in an SCCA school. Of course, if you have
to rent a ride it's not so cheap, but the school fee is really
reasonable- circa $400 if I remember correctly for a "super school"
(one VERY full weekend). A reasonable rental would be in the
neighborhood of $1000 so the total still compares pretty well
with a Barber or Russell "3-day" which nets you a LOT less
actual track time. I can't say enough good things about the
instructors and the school experience I had when I went through
the Cal Club school at Willow Springs a few years ago.
