No, no, no, no.  The USA 914s all came with fuel injection but the European
914s came with either fuel injection or carburators.  It was a customer
option on what type of induction was t be used.

A book entitled, "Porsche Caught by Camera," mentioned that the European
914s had "two twin-choke carburators" but failed to mention what type or
size carburators were used.

My guess is that the European 914s came with two Solex PIIs as used in the
912s and 356s.  The size would be ideal for the 1.7 liter to 2.0 liter
engine configuration used during the period.  Perhaps the after warket
option would be two Weber 40 carbs.
