The Mk2 Cortina was first sold as a 1967 model in the U.S., produced in
calendar year 1966.  Some Mk1's were also sold as '67 models also, probably
leftover 66's.  The changeover year from Mk1 to Mk2 is usually recognized as
the 66/67 model change.
