The Best of Show winner in the recently concluded Transport Show 1997 is a
certified sports car---a 1963 Jaguar XKE Convertible. The car is owned by
Mr. George See and it was restored by CEED Motor Cars Inc.
According to George, the car will see action in the Philippine Vintage Car
Racing series this year. He is expected to drive the car alongside if not
ahead of the Jaguar's nemesis---the Mustang GT350.
The first runner-up is a 1971 Morgan Plus 8, also a sports car of British
make. It is owned by Ramon Torres and it was restored by Alex Car
Restoration. The Morgan is not expected to see action in the vintage car
racing series as it is part of an impressive collection of exotic cars.
