As I have understood the CSRG admission policy, the years chosen was based on improvements in technology, not so much age, under the old 1962 cutoff a E type jag was not allowed because it was too advanced, even though it came out in 1961(?). I think 1972 was chosen because of the introduction of wings (downforce) on formula cars just after that time. chuck canepa |
