Ah, the tire controversy continues. In the HSR brochure for Sebirng and
Savannah fall races, there's a note on tires for 1996. Noting a lack of 70
series tires and the severe restriction of the FIA ruling mandating dunlop
spec tires, HSR is calling for 1) Vintage cacing tires recommended or
alternatively 2) DOT Speed Rated "H" or better radials of 60 series and
following MAXIMUM (their emphasis!) sizes:

Vintage production cars:
A. 185/60 X 13 under 3 liters
B. 185/60 X 14 under 3 liters
C. 195/60 X 15 under 3 liters
D. 225/60 X 15 over 3 liters

Historic Production Tires
DOT Speed Rated "H" or better radials of MINIMUM 50 series or taller.
Maximum diameter 16 inches.

Hmmmm. Some track records are gonna fall and some suspension parts and
wheels are gonna fail!
