The Classic Sports Racing Group will be having its final event of 1995
on October 21 & 22 at Thunder Hill Park, in Willows, Ca. This event
will include guest racers from SOVREN, a Halloween costume dinner
party, and the 14th annual Bob Green Memorial Enduro. In addition,
there will be 1/2 and full day testing on Friday, offered at a special
rate by the SCCA (for registered entrants only). There will also be the
usual "Mechanical Picnic" with passenger rides and car/driver swaps. On
Saturday, they will be giving course worker rides.

The CSRG Bob Green Memorial Enduro is one of the last places in the USA
where you can see a full Le Mans style start. All the cars are lined up
against the track wall, facing out at the track at an angle. All the
drivers stand at the opposite wall. When the green flag falls, the
drivers must dash across the track, jump in and go. They are allowed to
have helpers buckle them in. The race runs for about 2 hours (?), with
driver changes required at roughly 30 minute intervals. All racing
classes are mixed in the Enduro. This is quite a spectacle for a
private, club event! If you feel you need more info, contact me via
email.
