We did it this morning.
Just to catch up: we pulled the engine to rebuild it and left the transmiss=
ion in place. I had asked previously about potential reinstall vectors.
We had to disconnect and remove the transmission mount, and disconnect the =
drive shaft so we could move the transmission back a few inches. Then we i=
nstalled the engine (sans manifolds and engine mounts), then bolting in the=
engine mounts, then moving the transmission forward into the engine. I th=
ink that was less effort than removing the transmission, mating the two, th=
en installing the pair together.
