Is this a new issue, or was it this way all along.=C2=A0 There are a few "s=
tops" in the system.=C2=A0=C2=A0
1. The metal channel on the bottom of the glass needs to be mounted correct=
ly; if this was reinstalled by a previous owner it could not be installed i=
n the correct location.=C2=A0=C2=A0
2. There is a stop bolted against a channel in the door, but I do not think=
 this is adjustable.
3. Finally, there is a stop in the bottom of the door, against which the gl=
ass physically rests when all the way down.=C2=A0 Does the glass reach this=
 stop?
Good luck - folks smarter than me may chime in as well.
My drivers window will not go down all the way. It leaves 2 inches of
window left to roll down. It just comes to a sudden stop and won't go
further. I've taken the door apart and inspected. I can't find
anything odd. When I measured the window height of the window and
compare it to the passenger side it's about 1 !/2" higher when rolled
up. I've checked the gears and the teeth look good and the coil spring
looks good. I guess I'm going to have to take the passenger door apart
and really compare the two. Any ideas?
