I have successfully carved the " ears" from a scrap of PC board=2E
Didn't lose the spring, but I suspect you could make a suitable substitute=
from the spring inside a retractable ball point pen=2E
Or buy some spring wire and make one from scratch=2E I've done it in the l=
athe, but you could probably manage with a slow turning drill and a nail or=
similar for a mandrel=2E Its best not to try to hold the wire in your fing=
ers, it can cut you pretty badly=2E So use a scrap if wood or similar to gu=
ide the wire as the drill turns=2E
