Hmmmm...Good Point.

After all the years I used my wife's adhesive shelving paper (Contact Paper)
for temporary numbers, I only had it fail @ speed once, and that was off the
bonnet. Always stuck just fine on the sides and boot. It always stuck well,
and When I would remove it, It came off easily, and I had little or no residue
to deal with. It would peel right off. If and when there was any residue, it
came right off using a 3M product. I believe it was called Contractor's
Solvent. Sounds silly, and I have never tried it, but people have told me
peanut butter works too.

I did not always have a simple time removing other decals, tech stickers, etc.,
many of which had more serious residue issues. 3D product worked there too,
but required more effort.

You guys keep your cars too clean, if you let a little grime accumulate then
the tape actually cleans that part of the car when you remove it.

White electrical tape leaves less residue. I've used white duct tape and had
to work at cleanup afterwards.

When you folks have to modify your number for an event what are you using that
doesn't make a mess of things when you take it off? Duct tape, electrical tape,
other?

Thanks,

Marty
