The Robbins (non-cloth) top I put on my TR250 was the first convertible top I
have ever installed. Was done about 5 years or so ago now. I wanted it to
look good and ended up installing it slightly on the tight side, and installed
it on a warm day in the sun. Putting it up on a similar warm day is a snap.
As the temperature drops it gets a little trickier.

Having experienced shrunken tops in the past (and basically past a certain
point they become unusable), I didn't want mine to suffer the same fate anytime
soon. I always store it in the winter with the top up. In addittion, I try to
put it out in the summer in the hot sun a few times and push and pull on it
when it is really warm to stretch it out. If anything the top has stretched
slightly over the years.

Added bonus of storing with the top up--less dust in the interior.
