Battery does not need to be dead, you can charge it anytime it is l little
low. If you are still driving, it should be fine as long as your generator
is properly charging.
If you do park it for an extended period of time, pick up a Float Charger at
your FLAPS or HF for less than $20 and leave it on for the period of
idleness.

I usually disconnect my battery every winter and of course have to charge it
when I go to reconnect for the spring. I haven't done it this year since
I've been able to use the car, but I did need to use the starter fluid last
week.
Does a battery need to be dead before I charge it?
