Just a thought, have you tried greasing the wheel bearing? Pulled the brake
drum off to look for anything rubbing that shouldn't be?
Changing that bearing is a major PITA. The easiest way is to remove the
half shaft complete with hub and bearing, and ship it off to someone who has
the magic tool for separating the hub from the shaft without ruining them.
