i stand/sit corrected.
i wasn't sure where the modern cars had the dip switch located. hence the 
question mark?

Frank,

Are you talking about the high beam switch? If so, the TR4 does not have a high 
beam switch on the column. Only on the lower left side panel just like the TR3. 
Heck even my 72 6 has the high beam switch on the left side panel, although it 
has a European style high beam blip switch on the headlight switch mounted on 
the column. Just pull it towards you for a quick on-off blip.
