As I said in my post of yesterday, the lamp was available in the UK via
vehicle manufacturers as an "approved accessory" and through Lucas dealers as
a "Lucas accessory." Highly unlikely Lucas or Standard-Triumph would cross
reference their part numbers.
The version with the red lens came into
production much later when it became a requirement in the UK and western
Europe to have at least one high powered (21 watt) red rear light for use in
heavy rain, fog or snow.

auxiliary type part or add on to any specific model desired, at least through
1954.

a listing in this catalog for a "1954 Triumph - 2 seater sports car" that
lists ALL electrical components from gauges to lamps that Lucas provided.
There is no listing for back up lights or fog lights. The vehicle is only
identified as a 2 seater sports car.
