[TR] How tight the brake fittings?

I'm about to start replacing brake lines on my Spitfire.  Exactly how tight 
should one make the fittings?  Not that I have a torque wrench that works with 
open-end spanners, but I can get in the ballpark with hand pressure.  Any 
thoughts?
