[TR] wire wheels on late TR's

Did the TR250's and TR6's use the same method of attaching the wire rims that 
the earlier cars did? That is the bolt on adapter. And are they all 4 1/2" 
circle size for the studs?
And on an off topic. What makes a spider a spyder? is that just Italian for 
drop head coupe?
