One of the vents is intake and the other is exhaust -- if you were
planning to add an air intake snorkel to your TR4 for stream crossings,
this might be the perfect upgrade! Even if not, you'll probably need to
get creative to fabricate ducts.

The big downside is that you'll buy the vents from the dealer. Land
Rover dealer prices may make a pair of 'correct' works-style vents from
Revington look like a good deal (about 100 GBP I think). You'll save on
shipping by ordering Revington's vents with your surrey top. ;)

On the subject of Land Rover, sadly they (Ford, really) recently
discontinued parts support for 'older' models like my '91 Range Rover
Classic. It's a shame to see a company with a strong heritage take a
pass on the vehicles that earned their reputation. By contrast, Pam and
I have been impressed by Mercedes' support. Not only are the parts
desks helpful for our '76 240D, but if the battery is dead or you run
out of fuel, they'll come out and jump the car or bring fuel -- at no
charge. Not the original owner? Don't take your car to the dealer for
service? Doesn't matter. They'll support any car they've built. Hope
their association with Chrysler doesn't end that tradition.
