Good points. Everyone has had their own experiences. I never had an elec
pump burn up or fail except when sand packed the chamber. But I knew it
was clean out time when no pump sound occured. Guess I was just lucky,
never replaced contacts in pump either. However that was before gas was
so bad. There was recently a thread mentioning seal or diaphram material
more durable but don't recall details. Natch still have mech pump all
cleaned and bagged and will carry as back up. My elec is new not rebuilt.
I'll try to contact the supplier mentioned w/better diaphrams. Thanks
