TR3/TR4 Head Core Plug

The new core plug for the rear of the TR3 cylinder head is concave... or 
is it convex?  Well that's my question -- should it be an 'inny' or an 
'outy'?

The old one was flat but I assume the dished sort seat better when 
installed the right way 'round.
