Subject: GT6 Body Removal

I'm getting serious about lifting the body off my '69 GT6 and am
wondering
where are the best places to support it. I plan to just lift it
straight up
and roll the chassis out from underneath. I've heard stories about
bodies
twisting a bit, but my feeling is that this body style is fairly stiff
and
probably not a problem. Any advice about what to do, or not?

Since the body has a roof, the normal spitfire precautions are less
relevant. When I lifted the body off the GT6 I parted out to build Tiny
Tim, I made a sling out of nylon straps and fed it through the window
openings and out the hatch opening. I attached the sling to my engine
hoist and lifted it off without any assistance.

I hope this helps.

Joe
