hi Larry
well i have just finished a year long search for my car. i started to keep
track of every car and who was bidding and where they toped out on their
money.
i may have my spreadsheet still if you would like a copy. it will take some
searching but IM sure i can find it. this is what i noticed. project cars
requiring lots of rot restoration were less than $1500.00. project cars
requiring a
reasonable amount of restoration, floors, battery tray, boot floor were in the
2000.00 to 4000.00 range. supposedly rust free cars are in the 4000.00 to
5000.00 range. the glossy nice looking cars all finished and ready to drive
close
in the 10,000.00 to 15,000.00 range. but hen a funny thing happens, a week
later they reappear over and over again. there was one nice br green in Miami
that took about 4 months before it stopped listing. i suspect that the owners
may just get tiered of listing on e bay. most of the "rust free" gems
generally
start with an owner that thinks they have a gold mine car. they put a high
reserve on it and it fails to sell. then they go through a couple of runs
reducing the reserve. it must be heart breaking for them.
good luck with your hunt or sale

p.s. any one have a commission number close to mine. IM trying to tie down
the year properly.

to all listers, trying to come with realistic value(s) for cars(collector) in

general. looking at the prices in hemmings which are much higher than the
prices being sold on ebay, uhm.. some have mentioned that ebay is the dumping

grounds for cars. i would like feedback from all listers viewing their
opinions.
thank you , larry schwartz 1960 tr3-a supercharged
