Are you talking about the steel flange that mounts the slave cylinder?  The
one that is held in with two bolts?  If the interference is slight enough
maybe you can file it open a bit.  Since there are only two bolts that hold
it in place you can easily enough remove it and work with it no the bench. 
If the interference is significant enough you can take it and the slave
cylinder to a machine shop and let them modify it.

Well tenured Triumph owners take these things in stride.
