No, no!  That's only the Microsoft engineer who says that.

And while we're on the subject:

Asked to find the volume of a sphere, a mathematician will compute 
the answer from the formula 4/3 Pi r-cubed, the phycisist will drop 
the sphere into a full bucket of water and measure how much water 
spills out, and the engineer will look it up on the spec sheet.
