If you are going to use brass nuts here, be sure to use the *tall* ones (about twice normal thickness) or you run the risk of stripping them when torquing to the specified value. These days, I use normal height stainless nuts, with stainless split lock washers, sourced from my local West Marine. I don't have problems with seizing or loosening. |
