Red Line 70W80 Gear Oil satisfies 30W Motor Oil requirements.  That is what I 
am using (the Red Line).......75W90 would seem to me to be thicker.......(but 
then how is 70W Gear = 30W Motor?????)........I've had bunches of trouble 
with tranny oil being too thick in English made transmissions........90W gear 
oil 
especially!!!!   Moi?........I'd be afraid to move to thicker.......
