Yep -same thing happened to my TR2 -Luckily  it drove well in 2nd gear and
above so I could get home from San Francisco to Los Angeles. It went
straight to Herman Van Den Akker for some R and R --and now runs better than
ever. Mike Andrews TR2 in LA
