Oliver,
I didn't see a response to your question, so...the black tabs are
semi-gloss black when new and are available from TRF and others. To
remove them, simply unscrew the black dome covered bolts (also available
from TRF/others) and they come off without bothering the windshield
frame. Installation as they say, is the reverse of removal.

Hope to see you at the Trials,

Hi!

I'm getting ready for the TRials, and have a question :

the three brackets and their bolts at the front of the dashboard that
hold the pegs to snap in the tonneau - they are painted a flat black,
not a gloss, correct? Is there any way to get those plates with the
pegs out short of disassembling the windscreen from the car?

thanks!
