According to TRA's guide, the radiator neck on the early 4s was deleted at
CT9553. The early radiator used up to CT9553 was essentially the same as was
used on the TR3A (and B). According to that same source the physical shape of
the radiator remained the same for all 4s but the method of mounting changed.
Since the TR4 commission numbers ended at CT40304, I would not classify your
CT17313 as early but it should have the neckless radiator. Piggott says the
first TR4 produced in 1963 was CT18605 so I would call yours a late November
1962 production but not initially sold until 1964.
