About two years ago there was a thread about the fuel pump diaphragms being
assembled incorrectly. The two metal plates were assembled backwards; the
larger one was on the bottom of the diaphragm, while the smaller one, which
is just the right size to capture the spring, was on the top). The
consensus of the list was that the only supplier of diaphragms was building
them incorrectly, so that's what was in everyone's kits. Yesterday, I
rebuilt an AC fuel pump using a kit from TRF, and discovered that the
supplied diaphragm was assembled correctly. Apparently somebody got the
word, and the diaphragms are now as they are supposed to be. Also, this kit
included the oil seal for the diaphragm shaft. NFI, just liked the parts.

On another note, this pump had the staked-in valves - wow, what a PITA to
remove and re-stake. I'm still not sure of my re-staking job. The earlier
ones with the little bracket and single screw holding the valves in are a
whole lot easier to rebuild.

Nothing dramatic, just thought I would share my experience.
